Software Engineering Managers x6

The Software Engineering Manager reports to the Head of Technical delivery and is a leading role, responsible for the quality and effectiveness of all aspects of software delivery in 3 -4 digital delivery teams (Squads). Working with software developers and automation testers deployed in those delivery teams this role concentrates on how the software is delivered, ensuring engineering and quality software is delivered.

Business Analysts

As a Business Analyst your core purpose will be to act as the bridge between the business and the technical. This will involve you identifying the requirements of a service, identifying the benefits to the user and translating this into actionable requirements for the development team. You will work iteratively with the business and the development team to clarify ambiguity, resolve issues and assist with additional functionality across the service development lifecycle.

Quality Assurance

As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for writing, debugging and refactoring test code. You will work closely with our software developers to reach a common understanding of the code base and test coverage at unit level. You will collaborate with analysts to make sure the required business scenarios are covered in the acceptance and test scripts. You will also work on both functional and non-functional areas of an application. coach and mentor testers.

HMCTS Digital and Technology Services (DTS) is a specialist technology directorate which provides support to HMCTS in the use of IT and Digital.​

We support, manage and develop digital services, making sure they are working, legislatively compliant and fit-for purpose. We work closely with HMCTS operational teams, MoJ Digi/Tech and external suppliers to support the business through an understanding of user needs and business requirements. We also manage the IT service provided by MoJ DigiTech (computers, printers, network access) and ensure that HMCTS gets maximum value from its investment in IT.

The vision is to develop and support a digitally-enabled justice system that works more simply for users. We want to create a digitally enabled end-to-end justice system which can adapt and respond to changing needs and deliver better outcomes for the communities we serve and we’re looking for talented people to help us achieve our ambitions.
